4 Keys to Market your Service

We all have them...that one service that we love...that didn't sell.

Not the way we thought it would.

But why?

In my years of working with clients, creative teams, and entrepreneurs, these 4 things are the bare minimum you need.

Passion for the service.
If you aren't excited about it, your audience won't be.

Clearly defined Target Audience

  • Tip: you want to be able to clearly picture who this person is. If you're newer to this, think of someone you know who is like your audience.

Relevant Positioning

The way you position your service or offer NEEDS to be relevant to your audience. E.g. if you position your offer as "the easiest way to do X," but your audience doesn't think X is hard to do, it's not going to be relevant to them.

  • Tip: if this is happening, then either you need to change your positioning or who you're targeting.

Easy Process
I cannot stress this one enough. If it is not easy for someone to learn more, and book, all the above will be meaningless. Fun fact: I was so annoyed by a business last year that did this, I created an entire service around client experience. It is that important.

Tip: have a friend, a coach, etc go through your process - for each touchpoint of your marketing - to determine any gaps or issues.

Have questions about any of these? Want an expert to go through your offer with a fine-tooth comb?

I created a new service to do this. It's called REFINE.

This is a collaborative service that kicks off with a short pre-work document followed by a 90-minute working session via Zoom and a week of Voxer support (for any follow up questions).

Together, we’ll workshop your offer in real time so you can clearly communicate and position your offer in a way that speaks to your audience and feels easy to market.

And because we do it together, you'll be able to learn how to do this for other offers.

Bonus: I'm still taking clients over the next two weeks. If you have something you want to launch (or relaunch) in January, we can complete a REFINE before the end of the year!
